Payment & Insurance

Fees are set by each therapist. Check out our therapists profiles to check their fees and determine who fits your budget. Payment is due after session and can be paid by credit card or e-transfer.
I accept most insurance plans. You will be provided with a receipt which you can submit to your insurance provider.

Questions About Therapy

A consultation is a free opportunity to meet with a therapist of your choosing. The therapist may ask you some questions such as what you’re coming to therapy for and what you’re looking for in therapy. Feel free to ask any questions about experience, fees, and availability. We want you to find the right fit!
Not at all! If you want to work with or have been referred to someone specific, feel free to book your first session.

You will discuss the fee with your therapist prior to or during your first session. Payment is due at the end of each session by credit card or e-transfer. We store your credit card information on our HIPAA compliant secure platform, Jane. Once payment is completed, you will receive your receipt through email, which you can submit to your insurance provider. We accept most major credit card brands like Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
Psychological services are not covered by OHIP. However, many Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and extended health care plans will cover services rendered by a Registered Psychotherapist or a Registered Social Worker. As each insurance plan is different, speak to your insurance provider in advance to determine what your benefits cover.
Generally, a referral is not required since psychological services are not covered by OHIP. However, please check with your insurance provider to see whether they require a physician’s referral to reimburse your claim. If you are a refugee with the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP)
healthcare benefits, then you will need a physician’s referral for psychological services.
We request that appointments be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 to 48 hours in advance as late cancellations leave a hole in the therapist schedule and prevent other clients from booking. If an appointment is canceled in less than 24 hours, please be advised that you will be invoiced for the full cost or partial cost of the missed appointment, subject to conditions of the cancellation policy.

We offer a ‘sliding scale’ fee provision to make therapy more accessible based on your income and circumstances.
