As women, we face unique challenges that can significantly impact our mental and emotional well-being. From societal pressures, gender roles and shifting family dynamics to health concerns and life transitions, these issues can manifest in numerous ways, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, communication, and self-esteem challenges. Furthermore, being an immigrant woman to a new country can further increase our emotional burden and stress as we navigate a new system either alone or with our family.
My Approach
- Therapy specifically tailored for women provides a supportive, non-judgemental space to explore these concerns and discover new ways of fostering empowerment.
- My work is rooted in a commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion, drawn from my own personal experiences as an immigrant woman to Canada. My goal is to empower clients using an integrative approach drawing from modalities such as Strengths-based Approach, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Trauma Informed Care to navigate their personal challenges and develop empowerment.
- I combine the integrative approach with a feminist, intersectional, migrant and/or anti-oppressive lens to support my clients with recognizing their strengths, processing their past, building confidence and taking control of their lives.
